Springfield Rotary Scholarship Applications Available![]() Applications for the 2023 Springfield Rotary Club Scholarships are now available! The Rotary Club is offering two $2,000 scholarships for Springfield High School seniors as well as the $500 Lew Baldvins Memorial Industrial Trades scholarship. |
Another Successful "Stuff a Truck"![]() The Springfield Rotary Club held a very successful "Stuff a Truck" event on November 19, 2022 in the Springfield Plaza to benefit the Springfield Family Center. The event raised more than 2200 pounds of non-perishable food, frozen turkeys and hams, and personal care items. In addition, donors provided $1800 in cash which the Family Center will use to purchase items through the Vermont Food Bank. |

Another Little Library Erected![]() One of the six little libraries auctioned by the Friends of Springfield Town Library has been erected at 51 Rte106 in North Springfield. The little library, entitled “Purple Coneflowers”, was built by Springfield Vermont Rotarian Rod Arnold, designed by Springfield local artist Becky Turner, and purchased by Primerica Regional Vice President Deb Cox.

Rotary Helps Purchase South African Bronchoscope![]() ![]() At the Springfield Rotary Club June 21st meeting, representatives from Rotary Districts in South Africa expressed their gratitude for the club’s fundraising participation, along with eight other clubs in Vermont and New Hampshire, to provide a local children’s hospital with a pediatric bronchoscope. |
Rotary / Library Fundraiser![]() Friends of the Springfield Town Library (FOSTL) is auctioning six wonderfully decorated little libraries that are currently on display at the Springfield Town Library. Auction proceeds will be used to purchase equipment to better host in-person and online programs in the library. You can participate in the auction by visiting https://www.32auctions.com/FOSTL2022. Springfield Rotary Club created this “Little Free..brary” project as a way of supporting FOSTL and furthering its goal of increasing literacy in the community. |

Club holds annual 4-way speech contest![]() The Springfield Rotary Club held its annual "4-Way Speech Contest" at this week's meeting. The contest is for Springfield High School students to speak about how the Rotary "4-Way Test" applies to situations in their lives. SHS Sophomore Zada Grant was the winner of the $100 1st Prize for her speech about the current national political climate for women's rights and laws relating to abortion.

Charity Softball GameThe Annual Charity Softball game between the Rotary, the Lions, and Town employees will be on Thursday, August 16. The fun will begin with the National Anthem at 6:00pm, followed by PLAY BALL! The Boosters Club will have the concession stand open, selling hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks. There is no admission charge, but a hat will be passed during the game. The winning team will donate the proceeds to the charity of its choice. Please come root us on, laugh a lot, and help us raise funds for a local charity!
