17 Oct. 2026 72nd Annual Penny Sale Oct. 17, 2026 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Springfield Rotary Club’s 72nd Annual Penny Sale Set for October 17 The Springfield Vermont Rotary Club’s 72nd Annual Penny Sale will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Riverside Middle School in Springfield. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., with the event beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Penny Sale will feature more than 300 prizes—donated by local businesses and community members—available for purchase for just one penny per chance. Guests can choose from three prize series—red, white, and blue—each offering at least 100 prizes. A $1 series ticket includes 100 chances to win, and many attendees buy multiple tickets to improve their odds. Rotary members are currently collecting prizes and selling tickets, including options for the Grand Prize drawing of $5,000 in cash. Each $1 Grand Prize ticket also includes entry into a $500 Door Prize drawing, with the winner required to be present. Grand Prize tickets may be purchased in advance from any Springfield Rotarian or at the event. As the Club’s largest annual fundraiser, the Penny Sale helps generate funds that Rotary invests back into the community. Each year, the Rotary Club awards $6,000 in scholarships to graduating Springfield High School seniors and supports a variety of local projects and organizations. Over the years, the Penny Sale has helped the Club return more than $600,000 to Springfield.
