ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
• The Diaper Drive has begun for the month of April.  Collections are taking place at several business locations. For more info, click here.  
• April 16th club meeting will be a bag lunch since the kitchen will be closed at Maebellines.
PETS Conference will take place 4/26-27.
• Club meetings will remain at Maebelline's.
• Spring Food Drive will take place on May 11. To sign up, contact President Emma.
 
Trex Plastics Challenge Update
 
We have met our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for a sixth recycled bench. To date, 4,328 pounds of plastic film (over 2 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream and are being recycled. We have 195 pounds towards our seventh bench. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.  We need more volunteers to help sort at the Library, please contact Sue Dowdell.

President Emma welcomed all to the April 2, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, Emma offered this quote by Phil Jackson: “When the mind is allowed to relax, inspiration often follows.”

HAPPY EVENTS: 

  • Emma: Attended Women's Sweet 16 and Men's Elite 8

  • Marty: Heading to Indianapolis for his daughter's art show and the eclipse.

  • Alan: Happy to be here.

  • Deb: Spent 10 fun days in Florida with family

  • Jeff: Spent Easter with family.

  • Jeff: Took off Good Friday to spend with family

  • Taylor: Attended a Worcester Railers Hockey game with her sister.

  • Sue: Spent 8 fun days in Arizona

  • Elizabeth: Her 2 cats had
    7 kittens

  • Ed G.: Had a sleepover with his 3 grandchildren

RAFFLE:

The weekly prize of $5 was won by Sue. The big pot grew to $29.
