Spirited poem by Paul Kendall
Here we go, another year, Let's get excited, even CHEER!
Jim showed us the WAAAYYY, for him, we are grateful, HOORAY!
Now we have Karen, we are Blessed. She works so hard, she'll probably won't rest!
So let's give her our support, let's all be ALERT.
Now is the time for us to work!
Oh...and thanks to Liz for her dessert!

PROGRAM: Retired MSG, Bill Cole
Bill Cole, Retired MSG
Carol Cole's personal trainer, Bill Cole spoke with the club today about his experience as a Master Team Sergeant Green Beret. Bill served with the Special Forces from 1981 to 2001. When he retired he and his wife ran Quail Hollow Inn, Chester, VT for 7 years. He was a Chester Rotarian as well. He now a personal trainer here in Springfield. Bill shared his experiences and described many of the different groups the Army is divided into. Bill chose a 14 mo. training program to become a medic. Being a medic in the field required him to provide medical, dental, ortho and anything else that they may have to triage in the field. Many of the training missions he was on happened "while we were sleeping". Many of the missions the Special Forces undertake are done in the dark of night. Thank you for your service, Bill Cole.
