We have collected 867 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for the ninth recycled bench that is earmarked for the Green on Main. Since February of 2023, 7010 pounds of plastic film (over 3-1/2 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.

President Deb welcomed all to the Oct. 8, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, President elect Sue offered this quote by Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."
BOWL OF LIFE: (members put three things about themselves on paper and place into a bowl and then we try to identify the member)

HAPPY EVENTS:
Jeff: Spent a fun day with his granddaughter
Tom: His grandsons passed their hunter safety course.
Buddy: Looking forward to watching 3 soccer games and 3 hockey games with his grandkids.
RAFFLE:
The weekly prize of $5 was won by Astrid. The big pot now grows to $31.
PROGRAM:
Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield Vermont CEO Mike Johnson and COO Astrid Bradish-Hoyt presented their organization that just celebrated its 20th anniversary.
