BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING @ NOON @SPRINGFIELD SELECT BOARD MEETING ROOM — draft minutes
Minutes from Mar. 3, 2022: Bob made a motion to accept that was seconded by Ed; approved.
Financials: Jeff reported that we are in good shape. Motion to approve financial report was made by Bob and seconded by Carol; report approved.
Old Business
Membership:
The resignation of Josh DuFresne was accepted with regret.
Motion by Ed and seconded by Karen to propose the membership of Casimir Kurpinsky; approved.
Motion by Jeff and seconded by Ed to accept Jeanice Garfield as an honorary member; approved.
Programs: Speakers are planned through June (see the list on left). DGE Randell Barclay and Springfield School Superintendent Zach McLaughlin will be added to the programs. A program committee will be created next year.
Butterfly Release Fundraiser: Karen will bring tickets next week. At the next Board meeting, we will discuss the recipients of this fundraiser.
Little Free Libraries: Rod has six completed and out to artists.
New Business
The Club will participate in Clean-Up Day is May 7th. Members should report to the Food Coop parking lot in their Rotary tee shirts for assignment.
Karen is getting a response to her committee assignments for next year.
The Club will participate in the Postal Workers Food Drive on May 14th from 10 -5. A sign.-up sheet will be generated, Members should report to Springfield Family Center in their Rotary tee shirts.
Motion by Ed, seconded by Carol to make a $1,000 donation to Amigos de Honduras in memory of Henry Swierczynski, approved.
Karen will make recommendations for Club banners, tee shirts, and vests at the next board meeting.
Bob will check into scheduling our Annual Penny Sale for Oct. 22.
