HAPPY EVENTS: 

  • Liz- Keith's successful surgery.
  • Deb- Snow blowed her own driveway and got to hug Keith
  • Carol- Peter's surprise 80th birthday party and going on a flying saucer.
  • Cheyenne - Participating at Career Fair in her alma mater Green Mountain HS
  • Jeff - Voting Day, realizing his father is not non-responsive but rather non-cooperative, and not having a Sgt. of Arms today.
  • Sue - Situating her mom in her sister's house
  • Mike- Not attending a meeting that didn't have a greased pig or goat
  • Ed - Babysitting his grandchildren in Burlington while a neighbor cleared his driveway.
  • Karen - welcoming new members, celebrating her baby turning 25 and being around Ed.

The weekly raffle for $6.00 was won by Taylor. The grand prize is up to $206.00

Next board meeting will be on Thursday, April 6, 12pm at Nolan Murray Center. All members are welcome to attend. Your input is valued.

President Karen welcomed all to the March 7, 2023 club meeting and inducted five new members into the club.

 
 
The new members are:
  • Bob Adcock, Springfield Hospital, Chief Executive Officer;
  • Mike Schmitt, owner of the Black River Coffee Bar;
  • Taylor Drinker, Membership and Events Director for the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce;
  • Cheyenne Williams, Relationship Banker, M&T Bank Springfield; and
  • Brandon Gulnick, Weathersfield Town Manager

Committee Reports:

Butterfly Release Fundraiser- Family event will take place on 7/15. Butterflies will be released on 8/26.
Food Drive- postal workers will not be able to participate in Spring food drive.  We will schedule a food drive for late April.
Family Center- we will be providing shelving in the to be announced new location.
LiteracyThe literacy project was very successful at Union Street Elementary School. We will be scheduling times to read for Elm Street Elementary School in April or May.
4-Way Test- Students will be giving their presentation at next club meeting.
Trex Plastics Challenge- Outreach via social media and Springfield Reporter has resulted in 181 lbs being collected.
