Trex Plastics Challenge Update
We have collected 959 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for the ninth recycled bench that is earmarked for the Green on Main. Since February of 2023, 7102 pounds of plastic film (over 3-1/2 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.

President Deb welcomed all to the Oct. 15, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, President elect Sue offered this quote by Nelson Mandela: "It always seems impossible until it's done."
BOWL OF LIFE: (members put three things about themselves on paper and place into a bowl and then we try to identify the member)
This member's clue was: "I used to play a trombone" — No one fessed up so we let it slide.

RAFFLE:
The weekly prize of $5 was won by Carol. The big pot now grows to $36.
PROGRAM:
Jeff Mobus reviewed all the plans for Saturday's Penny Sale. He is picking up the series tickets and programs on Thursday. Volunteers needed to set up chairs on Friday at 3:30 and to move prizes on Sat. at 8. Please be at gym at 4 pm on Sat. for assignments. For more info, contact Jeff.
