INVOCATION

May those assembled here today enjoy the many offerings of Rotary.  May we abide by the rules we have established, those of trust, fellowship and ethics, and may we place Service above Self, in our daily endeavors.  May we always test ourselves and our efforts to be sure they are the truth, good for all concerned, of benefit to mankind, and provide peace and understanding.  Ken from Wisconsin

HAPPY EVENTS: 

  • Jeanice celebrating her husband, Warren's 57th year at Lovejoy
  • Jim took Jerry's son, Chris Jeffers to compete in MA
  • Bob, congratulations to Heather Hartford, SHS '82 for her Hartford women's lacrosse championship, undefeated. Happy for the scholarship winners.
  • Debra Cox, The butterfly fundraiser is easy to sell, post the info on your personal facebook pages if 
  • Jeff, Flew to Chicago to see good friends, take in a bball game and museums. 

 

PROGRAM:

Bob introduced the students sharing that without the penny sale the club was still able to raise enough funds to award 3 scholarships this year.

Our 3 SHS graduate scholarship winners
Tim Amsden
will be attending Western NE University, majoring in finance with a 5 yr program to complete a MBA.  He broke many records while competing in Track events and set a personal record.  His community service projects were cleaning the trail rail, as well as stepping up anytime he was asked to help.

Emily Chamberlin will be attending Ole Miss! Her interest lies in International Business.  She represented the students on the school board for the past two years at SHS.  Traveling to Spain with her exchange student this summer.  She's involved with the booster club, and was captain of the dance team.

Ari Cioffi will be attending University of NE in Maine.  She's be enrolled in a 5 yr program as well to complete a Masters degree.  She was on the National Honor Society, as well as Technical National Honor Society.  A 12 season athlete and even competed in a NH indoor 3 person soccer team.  She'll be on the swim team in college as well as becoming an athletic trainer.

RAFFLE:

Steve won $11 and the big pot grows to $30.
