• Summer Backpack Food Program will be done again this year.  For more info, contact Karen.
• The club will be sponsoring the Chester Music Series in July.
• Butterflies will be sold in August,
• Rotary Boxes have been put up.  If you can help, contact Peter,
• The school budget vote is today.
 
Trex Plastics Challenge Update
 
We have collected 879 pounds towards our seventh bench which will go to the library. To date, 5,012 pounds of plastic film (over 2.5 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. Please continue to bring your plastic wrap to the Springfield Town Library. We need more volunteers to help sort at the Library, please contact Sue Dowdell.

President Emma welcomed all to the May 21, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, Emma offered this quote by Franklin P Jones: “Love doesn't make the world go round; love is what makes the ride worthwhile.”

BOWL OF LIFE: (members put three things about themselves on paper and place into a bowl and then we try to identify the member)

HAPPY EVENTS:

  • Peter: Looking forward to the flowers in the Rotary flower boxes.

  • Jeff: Spending Lisa's birthday at a credit union conference.

  • Marty: Spent the weekend at Old Orchard Beach with his wife, Yael.

RAFFLE:

The weekly prize of $4 was won by Emma. The big pot grew to $54.
