• $2,000 District Grant check for the new football bleacher project was presented to Springfield Booster Club.
• We have pledged $1,000 to a Rotary Breast Milk Collection Station in Brazil.

Trex Plastics Challenge Update
The fifth bench has been assembled and is waiting to be picked up by Springfield On The Move for the bus stop on Main Street. We have collected 246 pounds of plastic film towards the 1000 pounds needed for our sixth bench. So far, 3,376 pounds of plastic film has been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. <NOTE: 2000 pounds = 1 TON>. If you can volunteer some time to help sort at the Library, contact Sue Dowdell.

RAFFLE:
The weekly prize of $3 was won by Marty. The big pot of $121 was won by Marty. NOTE: Marty added a $1 and donated the $125 to Springfield Supported Housing Program.
PROGRAM:

Lee Trapeni, executive director of Springfield Supported Housing Program (SSHP), Tara Chase, SSHP Operational Director, and Courtney Campbell, Americorps Vista gave an overview of their organization. SSHP is a private, non-profit agency that helps families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness or potential homelessness locate and secure safe, affordable housing. SSHP then provides program participants with case management to address any issues that led to the housing crisis and to pursue positive life goals. To learn more about SSHP, click here.
