• We are hoping to release butterflies at the Aug. 28 Comtu concert. Butterflies will be sold at the concerts on 6/26 and 7/24. If you can help, contact Sue

TREX PLASTIC CHALLENGE UPDATE
 

To date, 15,635  pounds of plastic film (over 7.5 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream since we started this project in February of 2023, delivered to Shaw’s Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling.  

Please continue to bring your plastic film to the Springfield Town Library.

NOTE: We need volunteers to help sort the plastic at the Library. For more info, contact Alan.

President Jeff welcomed all to the July 21, 2026 club meeting held at the tSpringfield Area Parent Child Training Center.  For the thought of the day, he offered this quote attributed to Ed McMahon, "People talk about wanting amenities - downtown is the amenity."

The weekly prize of $10 was won by Ed G. The big raffle grows to $279 and only 6 cards left.

PROGRAM:

 

 
Vanessa Rebentisch, Executive Director of Springfield On The Move, provided an update on Springfield On The Move's efforts to strengthen the community through downtown revitalization, support for local businesses, community events, and partnerships that enhance the quality of life in Springfield.
 
She highlighted several initiatives aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to shop locally, participate in community events, and support Springfield's continued economic growth. She also discussed opportunities for volunteers and organizations to become involved in upcoming projects and events.
