Trex Plastics Challenge Update
The fifth bench has been assembled and is waiting to be picked up by Springfield On The Move for the bus stop on Main Street. We have collected 797 pounds of plastic film towards the 1000 pounds needed for our sixth bench. So far, 3,927 (1.9 tons) pounds of plastic film has been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's and heading to Trex Company for recycling. Claremont Rotary Club has signed onto the project. Besides Springfield, only Capital City in district has taken up the challenge. We need more volunteers to help sort at the Library, please contact Sue Dowdell.

The weekly prize of $4 was won by Rod. The big pot grew to $20.
PROGRAM:
Thom Simmons told us about the Senior Solutions Foxy Fund.This fund provides grants to low-income seniors in southeastern Vermont to assist with unexpected costs of caring for their pets. The assistance includes pet food, veterinary care, pharmaceuticals, and boarding. You can learn more by clicking here.
