• We sold 181 butterflies and they all survived.

Trex Plastics Challenge Update
 
We have collected 532 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for the ninth recycled bench that is earmarked for the Green on Main. Since February of 2023, 66675 pounds of plastic film (over 3 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.

President Deb welcomed all to the Sept. 10, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, Sue Dowdell offered this quote by Thomas Edison: "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

The weekly prize of $2 was won by Astrid. The big pot now grows to $16.

Springfield Department of Public Works, gave an update of the many completed and planned public works projects in Springfield.
