ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
• "Rotary Reads" was a success.
• Anyone interested in helping with the Diaper Drive in April should contact President Emma.
• A list of speaker assignments has been emailed to members. It is also available on club website.

PETS Conference will take place 4/26-27.

Trex Plastics Challenge Update
 
The fifth bench has been assembled and is still waiting to be picked up by Springfield On The Move for the bus stop on Main Street. We have collected 580 pounds of plastic film towards the 1000 pounds needed for our sixth bench. So far, 3,710 pounds (1.9 tons) of plastic film has been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. Marty will be presenting the project to the Claremont-Sugar River Rotary Club on 2/27. We need more volunteers to help sort at the Library, please contact Sue Dowdell.

President Emma welcomed all to the February 20, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, Emma offered this quote by Mary Anne Radmacher: As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.”

BOWL OF LIFE: (members put three things about themselves on paper and place into a bowl and then we try to identify the member) 

This member grew up in a haunted house. No one was identified. Stay tuned.

  • Marty: Jeff's coordination of Reading Project was a lot of fun

RAFFLE:

The weekly prize of $4 was won by Sue. The big pot grew to $16.
