ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Club members will be helping the Garden Club tomorrow at 9 AM in front of the Co-op.
  • Indoor Spring Farmers’ Market at Methodist Church in Springfield May 21 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

  • Club members will be helping to spruce up the grounds of the Hartness House on 5/28 from 1-5 PM

  • Butterfly Release Fundraiser will take place on 8/26. Forms are available at the Springfield Town Library or contact Karen.
  • If you are interested in getting a "Rotarian At Work" tee shirt, contact Liz.

Marty: For a successful Letter Carriers Food Drive in collecting 5800 pounds of food
           
Bob: For winning the pool to guess how much food would be collected. NOTE: Bob guessed 5600 pounds and donated his $9 winnings to Happy Events.
Jeff: For Ed McQuaide's leadership at food drive.
Christian: For a successful Dam Run  
Sue Dowdell: For creating a Young Adults space on the second floor of the library
Sue Dowdell: For her upcoming visit to see her grandchildren.
Karen: For surviving COVID.
Karen: For her son, Dibran Ambari, helping out at the food drive
Karen: For participating in this Saturday's National Alliance for Mental Illness 5K in Hartford.
Jim: For a successful Gurney Field Day.

4 members were fined for not having any happy events. NOTE: Ed was fined for not paying attention to all the happy events. 

RAFFLE:
Marty won $2.33 which he left in the pot for next week. 

PROGRAM:

Buddy Dexter gave his classification talk while we waited for the arrival of our speaker.

John Claflin told us about his new business, JC Market & Deli, that he started last year. NOTE: He will be adding an ice cream stand this Sunday!
