ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
 
• We need volunteers to help direct parking at the 10/11 Apple Festival. For more info, contact President Sue.
• District Governor is coming on October 14th.
• Food Drive will be either 11/2 or 11/22
• Bellows Falls Rotary Club will collaborate with our club with the Kurn Hattin Christmas Project
 
TREX PLASTIC CHALLENGE UPDATE 
We have collected 742 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds for the fourteenth bench which will honor Lori Muse Gurney and the club’s 95th anniversary. To date, 12,089 pounds of plastic film (over 6 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream since we started this project in February of 2023, delivered to Shaw’s Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. Please continue to bring your plastic film to the Springfield Town Library. NOTE: We need volunteers to help sort the plastic at the Library. For more info, contact Alan.

President Sue welcomed all to the October 7, 2025 club meeting held at the Springfield Area Parent Child Training Center.  For the thought of the day, she offered this quote attributed to William James:Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does."

This member's clue was: "I watched Hershel Walker teach ballet in person." — It was Ed Grossman.

RAFFLE

The weekly prize of $4 was won by Marty who gave it back to the Club. The big raffle grows to $122.

PROGRAM:

 

Jeff reviewed plans for the Penny Sale. Ed has ordered the sign which will be posted after Apple Festival. Still looking for group to manage food. Deadline for prizes is 10/16.  Prizes will be listed at 6:30. To date we have about 150. We got some really nice big prizes but need smaller one. Chairs will arrived on 10/24. On 10/25 in the morning, prizes will be transported at 8 AM. Bob F, Peter, Christian and Deb sill announce. Tom  and Emma will sell grand prizes raffles. Need volunteers to sell inside tickets and record numbers. Jeff will be sending out email with reminders. 

This bulletin attempts to give a gist of the meeting.  However, it is always better to attend.  If you have any complaints about the contents of this bulletin...
