ANNOUNCEMENTS
• Summer Backpack Food Program is now in its fifth week. Karen noted that she is finding greater food insecurity this year. <NOTE: You can read about this year's project in today's Springfield Reporter.>
• We need volunteers to sell butterflies at the Chester Music Series that we are sponsoring this year. If you can volunteer, contact Emma.

• President Deb purchased 60 rain suits and crocs for our District Grant to supply Springfield and Chester preschools. If you can help install racks, contact President Deb.
Trex Plastics Challenge Update
We have collected 943 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for an eighth recycled bench that is earmarked for the Library. Since February of 2023, 6,085 pounds of plastic film (over 3 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket and heading to Trex Company for recycling. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.

President Deb welcomed all to the July 13, 2024 club meeting held at Maebelline's Restaurant. For the thought of the day, she offered this quote by Walt Disney: “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."
BOWL OF LIFE: (members put three things about themselves on paper and place into a bowl and then we try to identify the member)
This member's clue was: "I am a huge Disney fan" — no one fessed up.
