• The last day of selling butterflies at the Comtu Music Series will be this Friday. So far, 120 butterflies have been purchased. The butterflies will be released on 8/23. To order Butterflies, click here.
• The 60 rain suits and crocs for our District Grant to supply Springfield and Chester preschools were delivered.

Trex Plastics Challenge Update
We have collected 262 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for the ninth recycled bench that is earmarked for the Green on Main. Since February of 2023, 6405 pounds of plastic film (over 3 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's Supermarket, and heading to Trex Company for recycling. You can bring your plastic to the Springfield Town Library.

PROGRAM:
Rotary District 6870 District Governor Bill Stevens gave an overview of his vision for this Rotary year. Rotary District 6870 is comprised of 60 clubs and 1700 members. Bill joined Rotary in 2006. He has served as Keene Rotary Club President (2011-12) and Bellows Falls Rotary Club President (2020-21). As District Governor, he is calling for “a bold, ambitious, yet humanistic approach to the modern day challenges encountered by today’s Rotarians.” This means that Rotary needs to change its image as a business organization and attract members interested in being part of a service organization.
