The second bench has been installed at The Common under a tree overlooking the ball field. You can read about it in today's Springfield Reporter or tomorrow's Shopper. We collected 40 pounds of plastic film from McGee CDJR. Working with Union Park Neighborhood Association, this means we met our goal of another 500 pounds of plastic film and will be ordering our third bench. Today, we delivered 20 pounds to Shaw's as we work with Black River Action Team toward's our 4th bench. To date, 1,636 pounds of plastic film have been removed from the waste stream, delivered to Shaw's, and heading to Trex for recycling.
