ANNOUNCEMENTS
• SAVE THE DATE: Changing of the Gavel will take place on June 24 at Vermont Vines. Details to follow.
• The club will be collecting diapers for the Diaper Bank during the month of April. For more info, contact Immediate Past President Emma.
• The club's annual "Rotary Reads" project will take place on April 11 at Union Elementary School.
• The Rotary District 7870 Assembly will take place on April 26. Anyone interested in carpooling should contact President-elect Sue.
• Longtime Springfield Rotarian Lori Muse passed away on March 12. A service will be held April 26 at 2:30 p.m.; the service will be at the North Springfield Baptist Church. A time of sharing memories will take place at The Crown Point Country Club from 4-6 p.m.
TREX PLASTIC CHALLENGE UPDATE
The eleventh recycled bench was given to the Springfield Community Players. We have collected 219 pounds of plastic film towards our goal of 1000 pounds of plastic film for the twelfth recycled bench that will be given to the Springfield Conservation Committee and installed near the pollinator habitat hillside at Springfield Hospital. To date, 9,363 pounds of plastic film (> 4.5 tons!) have been removed from the waste stream since we started this project in February of 2023, delivered to Shaw's and heading to Trex Company for recycling. NOTE: We are in need of volunteers to help sort the plastic at the Library. For more info, contact Alan.

Springfield Rotary Club President Deb Cox, a financial advisor with Primerica, talked about why now is a great time to invest. She recommended that you should invest with your head and not the headlines.
